When I was a little girl, I used to pretend that I was a teacher. Thankfully, I was able to become one later in life.

I did all my studies in Mexico (where I am from). I received a B.A in Modern Languages with a focus on Literature, Linguistics, and Teaching at Universidad Autónoma de Querétaro. Then, I pursued a master’s in Applied Linguistics at Universidad de Guadalajara. Finally, I completed a Specialization in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language at Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México.

I have been teaching Spanish since I graduated from college. It has been an enriching experience from which I have learned a lot. First, in Mexico, I worked in several language schools and at a prestigious university, teaching Spanish to students from all over the world who were doing a semester abroad. I came to the United States in 2018 and eventually tried to follow my passion for teaching here. I worked in a high school setting in California before moving with my family to Houston.

A natural traveler lives inside me. I love to learn about other places, cultures, and languages. Teaching my language has allowed me to meet amazing people who have taught me about their country. I enjoy being in a classroom and sharing my language and pieces of Latin American culture with my students. I love seeing them grow in Spanish, and of course, I am always ready to cheer and motivate them.
