Association is the most effective vocabulary memorization strategy when you are learning Spanish. We always describe and recommend different types of association. The following is a quite useful and yet misused one. Remember to practice it with this vocabulary from home, but, above all, have this form as a habitual language learning strategy.

Match up the objects with the associated  activities .

Levantarse /Get up from

Sentarse / sit on

Guardar la ropa / To keep on cloth

Ducharse / To have a shower

Poner la comida en / To put the food on

The refrigerator / The icebox

El armario / The closet

La bañera / The bathtub

El sillón / The armchair.

La cama /The  bed
