Talking about motives

Motives and reasons are usually expressed using por  + noun, porque  + a conjugated verb, and para  + infinitive. 

In these following sentences you are expressing different reasons.

  • Estudio español para hablar con mi amigo Jaime.
  • Aprendo historia porque quiero ser historiador.
  • Salgo con mis amigos para divertirme.
  • Viajo a Francia porque tengo muchos amigos franceses.
  • Vivo en Londres por mis estudios.
